Superior Technologies Rolls Out Lights, Camera, Action Program for Downtown Janesville

We’re excited to announce that Superior Technologies has been selected to implement the Lights, Camera, Action (LCA) program for the Business Improvement District (BID) in downtown Janesville. This initiative is a significant step toward enhancing safety and promoting positive engagement in our community.

Project Overview:

The LCA program aims to strengthen security in downtown Janesville by installing 17 state-of-the-art surveillance cameras, with plans to add five more. These cameras will be strategically placed to cover key areas, ensuring comprehensive monitoring and improving overall safety.

Key Features:

  1. High-Quality Surveillance: The cameras installed are equipped with advanced technology to provide high-resolution footage, ensuring clear visibility and effective monitoring.
  2. Local Storage and Reliability: Each camera features 1TB of internal storage, allowing for up to 90 days of footage retention. This setup eliminates a single point of failure, ensuring continuous operation even if one camera goes down.
  3. User-Friendly Access: Business owners and the Janesville Police Department will have permission-based live viewing and playback capabilities, accessible via multiple devices including cell phones, tablets, and computers.
  4. Future Expandability: The system is designed to be easily expandable, with the capacity to add more cameras as needed, ensuring long-term scalability and adaptability.
